In honor of our @brooklynvegan single debut today, I thought I would post a clip from @recordthieves practice a while back when we were writing all of the songs on this album. Today is a such a big day for us, we have worked so hard on this record and can’t thank everyone enough for the belief and support in it. This is how I play 24/7, because this is what music does for me. The fire within me is a volcano when I am playing music so you get 110% of me even at practice or when “just jamming”. My guitarist for @recordthieves and I are toying around with some new song ideas. I decided to post this with the demo music included to show my approach to writing drums. As you can see I’m not trying to do crazy fills and be all over the place. I believe as a drummer it’s our job to be the foundation of a song and lift up all the other members in the band. Play your parts, play them well and play them solid but remember to PAY ATTENTION to your band mates... accent them, match your kick patterns to their picking patters etc. soon you’ll find yourself in a much tighter band and will be a lot happier.
