Not to be rude, but didn't Vade link in the video's description about it? And I also think he has an email to contact about monetary compensation and stuff at the bottom of the video description you can contact.
I don’t know if the situation is due to vade or someone completely different, because while his is the most popular I know there are multiple dubs of this. that post wasnt like, a callout to vade, it was a request to EVERYONE whos asked to dub my work.
that aside, quite frankly i dont see links in the description as satisfactory because not everyone is going to actually go through and read all that stuff, especially if the description is crowded with tons of credits that mean nothing to most people. like. whats done is done and i dont want to be so pushy as to ask people to recut their whole video just to slap one credit on there because I know exactly how much effort that requires, but honestly is work really credited if the source is so easily skimmed over? like if a tweet with reposted art goes viral and the credit is added in a reply buried beneath all the comments, does that really count as promoting the original artist? While the situations not exactly the same, it’s similar.
if people see your reposted work and think someone else made it, is that not a sign the credit was shared poorly? because that’s exactly what’s happened and what i fear could escalate
i’m sure nothing terrible will come of this, I’m a very paranoid person, but it’s still something worth thinking about. art credit online is handled abysmally as it is. I’ve never been one to care too much about my work being reposted, but it’s also never come back to bite me in the butt and I would really rather it didn’t.
regarding monetary compensation: those tags were largely a hypothetical little thing i was feeling snotty about at the time. while i did mean what i said, im certain that that dub has earned approximately nothing because i’ve made videos with about the same amount of views if i remember the number correctly so that’s not worth badgering over lol
