Summary
Following Dad’s death, Dean dropped his dreams of proving himself in a Michelin-star restaurant and came home to take care of the failing family business. Enter Cas, a financial consultant hired by Sam, who throws a spanner in the works of Dean’s finely tuned (read: barely functioning) engine. Things heat up inside and outside of the kitchen, culminating in a pointed argument.

Is it too late for me to request #5 from the kiss prompts?
5. Forehead kiss
Leaning against the counter, Dean looked out the window of the diner; his eyes catching and lingering on Cas sitting in the passenger seat of the Impala with the window rolled down and his arm leaning on the frame; fingers moving through the breeze. It was such a simple picture, and yet, Dean was transfixed.
Cas looked so peaceful, so at ease; as if his place was sitting right next to Dean at the wheel.
And, yeah, okay, Dean let Cas drive, too. They drove together, side by side.
This was their life now.
Retired. Driving across every square inch of the country with no plan. The road was their compass and the open space their destination.
It took the guy at the counter saying Dean’s name three times before Dean heard him, mostly because Dean couldn’t tear his eyes away from Cas. “Sorry man,” Dean said, snagging the bag. “He’s so handsome,” he said, nodding his head towards Cas with a little loved-up smile on his face. “And I get to call him mine.”
Without waiting for a response, Dean made his way out of the diner, but instead of climbing into the drivers seat, Dean made his way to the passenger door. Bending down, Dean caught Cas’ gaze and smiled. “Saw this devastatingly handsome angel while I was in the diner,” Dean said, watching Cas’ expression morph into fond exasperation and adoration at the same time.
“Oh did you now?” Cas said, tilting his head to look up at Dean; eyes squinted against the sunlight that was radiating behind the ex-hunter.
Dean grinned, resting his elbow against the window frame next to Cas’ hand. “I did. And then I realized, I could walk out and do this.” Leaning in through the open window, Dean pressed a soft lingering kiss on Cas’ forehead, his heart kicking up a storm against his ribs because he could do this now; could kiss Cas on the forehead and cheeks and nose and lips whenever he wanted.
When he pulled away, the smile on Cas’ face was brighter than the sunshine.
“Hi, handsome angel,” Dean murmured, pressing another kiss against Cas’ temple.
“Hello, Dean,” Cas hummed, catching Dean’s lips and kissing him right there in the Impala’s open window.

Faith, 1x12 // The Future, 12x19
[ID. 6 GIFs alternating between scenes from Faith and The Future. In Faith Roy le Grange calls Dean out from the crowd to be healed saying “I didn’t pick you, Dean. The Lord did.” Dean shakes him off and says “Look, no disrespect, but uh, I'm not exactly a believer.” to which Roy replies “You will be, son. You will be.” In The Future Kelly explains to Cas why she’s chosen him to raise her child saying “I don't know why it's me. And I don't know why it's you. But I know that we are destined for something here. Something great.” Cas shrugs and says “Well, I wish I had your faith.” to which Kelly replies “You will.” /END ID]
