do y’all ever think about how Cas was trained and brainwashed into killing Dean until it was perfectly executed with no hesitation and then when it came down to the real thing he failed because Naomi did not understand love at all and underestimated how much Cas loved Dean and vice versa

No, but you're so right. The thing about it, the catalyst, was that DEAN loved CAS. She counted on Cas' love (or at least strong feelings) for Dean and trained him around that (remember, there are no Sams), but she never anticipated Dean's love in return.

That's why the "I love you" line was in there and was supposed to be what broke the connection (I need you was 100x more vital to who Dean is, in my opinion. Love and Need and how Dean views each). Cas loves Dean, Cas can't hurt Dean, so Naomi factors that into her copies. Neither Cas nor Naomi anticipate that Dean loves Cas back.
