Day 5 (late post)
Sunday is my rest day and the temptation to just rest has never been so strong. But the reminder that my boyfriend and I will run 10k next week for 2014 Run United loomed while I was burying my face on my fluffy pillow. When my bf agreed to run with me that afternoon, I knew I had to get up.
We arrived at the University of the Philippines, Diliman at 5:30pm and I was hungry. We started to jog around the academic oval and I said I’ll grab a bite around the corner where vendors usually are. Christian (my bf) was hyped and he wanted to run 4x around the oval. The academic oval is approx 2.5 kms.
We only did 2 rounds 😜 and it took us an hour to finish.
Running outdoors is totally different from running on a treadmill. Christian says it is easier to push himself when he runs outdoors. It is easier for me too. think it is because outdoors, there is freedom of pace. On a treadmill, if I set it at 7kph, i have to run 7kph. And the view, (of course the view) changes. It distracts me from the physical stress.
