Aurora had noticed Hunter just as he was entering backstage though she hadn’t had time to put on her hearing aids before he approached her. The anxiety of whether or not she’d be able to read his lips had long disappeared when it was turned out to be rather easy to read another girl’s lips. Her boss--his father--wasn’t very keen to the idea of her wearing “unappealing” things on stage so she only wore her HAs when she was off duty.
“You just missed me, actually.” She winked at him. “But I’ll be back on in a half-hour.”
