Nugu GG of the Week #674 : UNIZ (part 3)

Final song is Cleaning (청소슝슝). The song has some nice playground chants, cute piano, groovy bass line and decent vocals. The song gives me anime ending OST a little bit or schools out so let's have a montage of us running home after school. I also like the how the bridge is just an instrumental break. It's very rare to get instrumental breaks in kpop songs especially to have it be the actual bridge of the song before we all sing the chorus one last time but yeah a unique fun song IMO.

Post disbandment one member redebuted in Pink Fantasy but eventually left and another kinda bounced around from a rock band to random groups, she even debuted last year in 2025 in a group called Hidden Glow but even that disbanded. But hey we commend her for constantly pursuing music.

Nugu GG of the Week #673 : UNIZ (part 2)

Next song is Random Confession (무작정 고백). A good length with 3:45. We got a nice funky melody and beat. Really gives me early to mid 2000s pop vibes, like Jessica Simpson vibes, which hey she had 3 really good songs, respect. It's just a standard pop track, nothing too crazy aside from the nice production and the decent-ish vocals. To me the weakest of the 3 songs they have but it's still a cute time.

Nugu GG of the Week #672 : UNIZ (part 1)

UNIZ was a 5 member girl group that debuted in 2015. The group debuted as a 4 piece with Chie, Aini (nugu darling 💕), Jaeny (nugu darling 💕), and Rena. Then a few days after their debut they added in a 5th member Hari. Very nugudom to add in members willy nilly. Aini eventually redebuted Pink Fantasy and Jaeny jumped around the industry apparently.

So UNIZ is an odd group as a few of them are former members of a group called Kirots. The group ran from 2006 to 2008. However this isn't a group to necessarily get into per say just because their maknae was I believe 12/13, I remember finding them when I got into kpop back in 2010. Interesting songs I guess but yeah crazy ages. But yeah, this group actually released remakes of some of those songs.

The first song is Heart (하트). A nice 4 minute pop track with a bit of a whimsicalness to it. We got a nice piano, which gets it's own solo, and sonically the rest of the song feels very mid 2000s pop club bop. Also the vocal melody and violins just remind me of old school Orange Caramel like Magical Girl and A~ing. Vocally the group is okay when they're in a lower range.

UNIZ’s first product launch, the SLASH resin-based 3D printer concludes today, and they blew the doors off their goals. But is there more to the story? UNIZ, if you haven’t heard, is a spectacular startup that has a very speedy resin-based 3D printing technology. Their process involves using a cool LCD panel to illuminate the resin instead of lasers. This avoids the degradation and stickiness of print layers to the resin tank that occurs in almost every other resin-based 3D printer.
