Cecil John White (1900 – 1986) was an Australian cartoonist who worked under the pen name of “Unk White.” He was also a skilled watercolour painter. White was born in Auckland, New Zealand and arrived in Sydney in 1922. He regularly contributed cartoons to Melbourne Punch, The Bulletin, Smith's Weekly and Beckett's Budget. In 1944 White became an official war artist and he served with the RAAF and Royal Navy in New Guinea, the Pacific and Japan.
