From Software Dark Souls Trilogy Unkindled One, Adelstan Another plot-important custom design of my Dark Souls protagonist character that you remember appearing on previous DS-related pictures — especially those ones including Manus Father of the Abyss (and them two); connection between them growing stronger and stronger.

I commissioned this fellow about a week ago to draw up my chosen undead Ernest, and I am over the moon with the piece.
I played Ernest with my friend who did a cosplay run of Oscar, and we decided that the two of them along with Solaire linked the flame, but not exactly willingly. Oscar and Ernest had intended to go behind Solaire’s back and stomp it out entirely (rather than go for the dark lord ending), but when Solaire nearly died during the battle with Gwyn, Ernest carries Solaire to the flame to link it together while Oscar was supposed to book it and prevent anyone else from relinking it.
Oscar dies in the resulting flame, and Ernest appears to fail to link it. Solaire carries the team and links the flame while Ernest appears again in DS3 as an apparent ashen/unkindled one.
In Dark Souls 3, along with my friend’s new character, the two of them plan to stomp out the flame for good. No relinking it no matter how dire the situation. When the Firekeeper removes the flame from the bone shards, it is revealed that Ernest is a Lord of Cinder albeit far weakened from his countless years of burning. The flame only dies when it has finally finished consuming him.
On top of it all, that dadly dude is only about 5′4 and sounds like Bob from Bob’s Burgers. He gets into at least one Dad Fight with Eygon and goes about adopting literally everyone he can get his hands on. Andre calls him out on it at least once.
If you would like to read more about his DS3 adventures, I am chronicling his story in a fanfic here: [Link to fan fic]
Not every contender knows how to behave politely. Some will just run into the hall, probably interrupt Lothric’s epic lines and just attack. After all those two still are princes, so better treat them with respect.
So after around 4 embers used up, dozens of deaths, and a nervous breakdown
I accepted that I will never defeat the Abyss Watchers until I got better stats and gear, so I start grinding the same 3 Ghrus by the Keep Ruins bonfire over and over again, gaining a rank in the Watchdogs of Farron covenant and a nifty curved sword from the good old doggo there. (Curved. Sword. of the good boi)
sssssh.... he’s sleeping
after leveling a lot, I got 2900 souls leftovers, so I decided to spent 2000 for an Ember from Greirat, and go to take another run at the Watchers because well, why not, might as well. I’ll die again anyway.
One Sirris summon later and well....
Thank you Sirris, for serving as distraction in that fight
So, what’s the moral of the story?
Praise Greirat of the Undead Settlement, the Thief of Fate
Praise Greirat! \<T>/
no respect for the watchers though
screw those guys and their stupid mushroom hat
Bonus: my Ashen one trying to impress her Firekeeper
