Jake and the Never Land Pirates | 'Peter Pan Returns!' | Disney Junior UK
Back when I used to babysit my cousin when he was a little toddler, I used to switch the TV on and watch Jake and the Neverland Pirates with him. It also came as a surprise that I ended up liking this cartoon more than he did considering the fact that this was one of his favorites next to PAW Patrol
Now that I have Disney+ I got around to rewatching the show for old times sake and because I like cartoons and that I like kid stuff because I really and I mean REALLY don't like adulting and having to deal with grownup responsibilties
How Long?--Ben Solo x Reader: Part 3
This is the final part so I hope y’all enjoy it!!!
“Wow this place is beautiful,” Ben said from the passenger seat of your X-wing. You smiled.
“That’s why this is my escape. We’re going to this lake that is amazing at this time of night,” you explained.
You landed the ship and lead Ben to the bank of the lake. All around you were mountains and the full moon was high in the sky and the weather couldn’t be any better. You sat down at the edge of the lake and just took in the scenery around you. Ben sat beside you and did the same.
“How’d you find this place?” You looked to Ben and motioned for him to be quiet. He looked confused, but then noticed something in the sky—a shooting star! It wasn’t just one though, it was a meteor shower that put the ones that happen by the Resistance base to shame. As you watched the show, Ben opened his mouth in awe at how cool it was that there were things falling through the sky.
“Around this time of year, there are meteor showers every night and I just wanted to show you because I thought you’d enjoy it,” you explained. Ben smiled and continued to look around at this scenery. He watched the fish stir in the lake and he watched the stars fall and he looked at the mountains, finding something familiar about this.
“I remember something,” he said excitedly, “I remember us sneaking out at night to come here.” Ben then began to explain the memory.
The night was cold and all Ben could think about was the adventure with you. Did any of your parents know what you were planning? No, but that’s the beauty of being a rebellious teenager. The plan was to sneak out and meet by Luke’s X-Wing at around 10 and to then go to Naboo.
Ben was the first to meet at the rendezvous point. He was dressed in gray pants, a long sleeved maroon shirt, and a black jacket. You finally came up wearing black pants and two jackets.
“Cold?” Ben asked. You giggled quietly as you nodded and Ben smiled. “So this wasn’t meant for two people, so we are gonna have to squeeze.” You blushed when Ben said that, but luckily enough, it was cold enough to warrant you having a rosy face. Ben dropped down the ladder attached to the vehicle and helped you up. He then followed and, using a rope, pulled the ladder back inside. Ben sat down in the seat and you sat in front of him, right between his legs. There was enough room for the both of you in this position and there was still room for Ben to control the ship.
“It’s go time,” Ben said as he put down the hood and started the engines. It wasn’t long before you were in the air and on your way to Naboo.
“That’s great!” You exclaimed. “Is there anything else?” Ben focused all of his energy into remembering. He fell short, but this memory was good enough. He shook his head. He wanted to remember more right now, but it just wasn’t happening. He looked defeated, but you were proud of him.
“Let’s call it a night and go back home,” you said, yawning. You both then got up and walked back to the X-wing. The grass swayed in the breeze and the sound coming from the trees in the wind was music to your ears. Nature was beautiful and you thought that everyone should get the chance to emerge themselves in it once in a while.
“Did you know that over the course of our adventures, you taught me how to fly?” You asked him while you strolled along. “And now look at me, I’m almost as good as Poe, but to be fair, he grew up around air craft.”
“I guess I must have been really good then,” he said, laughing to himself. In that moment he found pride, even if he doesn’t remember. It’s like his body remembers everything, but the brain is the one lagging behind.
—
You arrived back at the base and decided to let Ben look at some things from your past. Ben sat down on the bed and you opened your chest and retrieved a photo album. You sat beside Ben and opened the album. There were things in there ranging from your first hang out all the way up to the week before he left.
“I like to take pictures of everything, so I captured moments I thought were important,” you said as you flipped through the pages. Ben carefully observed each page that was being flipped through.
“Wait,” he said, stopping your page turning. He looked at this particular picture—it was one that was taken a month before he left to train. That memory was when you realized that you were in love with Ben.
You had just gotten into a fight with your parents. You don’t remember what the fight was about, but you remember that it made you very upset, so much so that you ran out into the wilderness. You found a nice tree to sit under and you just cried.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” You heard Ben say. You shook your head and just continued to sob. Ben sat beside you and wrapped an arm around your shoulders. You leaned against him and you felt comfort. “It’s ok. Everything will be fine.”
“How’d you know where I was?” You asked him. You were cried out and tired, so you still leaned against Ben. He was warm, and smelled like lavender.
“I felt like something was wrong and followed the feeling here,” he explained. “I don’t like seeing you so upset. You can sleep over at my house, if you want to.” You nodded your head and the both of you walked to Ben’s house. Han was out smuggling and Leia was sitting on the couch, sipping tea while in her pajamas.
“Hey mom, is it alright if (y/n) sleep over tonight?” Ben asked. Leia gave you a sad smile and nodded her head.
“As long as you promise to have no funny business,” she said sternly. You and Ben blushed and quickly made your way into his room.
For a few hours, you couldn’t sleep so Ben stayed up with you to pass the time. You just talked about everything and anything. The moment was wholesome and you both trusted each other deeply. And it was in this deepness that Ben told you that his mom was thinking about sending him away with Luke. There wasn’t any commitment yet since she still had to convince his father, but Ben knew that it was inevitable. You were the tiniest bit upset, but you told him that you’d wait for him to get back and while waiting, you will spend your time wisely.
“I remember everything now,” Ben said, dragging you out of the memory. Your heart started to beat faster and you couldn’t help the smile rushing to your face. You gave Ben a big hug and he chuckled. The album was on the ground by now, but that didn’t matter right now.
“I’ve missed you so much,” he said, kissing you immediately after. This moment was long in the making and it was everything you have waited for. You pulled away from each other and you both couldn’t help but to smile.
“I think I’ve missed you more,” you said giving him even more of a tight squeeze. This was the first time you’ve seen the true Ben in a long time and it made you giddy.
There was a hurried knock on your door and you got up to answer it. Standing there was Rey and she had the biggest smile. Your smile got wider as she spoke.
“I felt his presence again. Welcome back, Ben,” she said walking into the room and giving him a hug. Rey was so excited that she couldn’t wait to see him alive and well.
“Thanks for saving me, by the way,” he said, a little embarrassed. You chuckled and Rey said goodnight to the both of you. You looked into Ben’s eyes and saw the hope and the soul of the one you fell in love with all those years ago. It didn’t matter how long it took for him to come back. To you, it only matter how long he will stay.
How Long?--Ben Solo x Reader: Part 2
You didn’t dream that night, but it was the most restful sleep you have gotten. You looked to your right and saw Ben still asleep. His hair was messy and his mouth was slightly open. Small snores were coming from this large man and he was drooling just the tiniest bit. You stood from your spot on the floor and gathered your blanket and pillow. You folded the blanket and placed it onto your chest and topped it with your pillow. Then you got dressed into your clothes for the day.
“Hnng,” Ben groaned, “my head hurts.” He scrunched his eyes closed and rubbed out his hands over his eyes. He sat up with his legs off of the bed. “This is worse than a hangover.”
“It’s really that bad?” Ben jumped out of the bed, not knowing that anyone was around. His face scrunched in pain and he fell to his knees while holding his head. His head was pounding so hard, he was surprised that you couldn’t hear it from three feet away. You lunged over and helped him back into his feet. “Hey, take it easy.”
And it was in that moment that Ben locked eyes with you. His eyes still held that same innocence as when he left. Your heart melted and a soft, welcoming smile appeared on your face. Ben furrowed his eyebrows and took on a confused look.
“Where am I and who are you?” He asked you. Your smile fell and you sighed. Well, you can’t have your cake and eat it too, I guess.
“You’re at the Resistance base, or I guess now it’s the former Resistance base. And I’m (y/n). We were really close before you, uh, left,” you said awkwardly. You weren’t sure that you wanted to tell him the reason for his leaving or even the reason why he was standing before you. “I’ll go find you some clean clothes and I’ll show you around.” You left the room.
Down the hall was Rey and you power walked towards her. She noticed you approaching and waved with a smile.
“Hey, is Ben awake yet?”
“Yes, but we have a problem. He doesn’t remember anything.” Rey pursed her lips and thought back to the ancient texts that she had read. Was this topic even covered in any of those texts? It had to be, somewhere.
“Rey, are you good?” you asked her. She snapped out of her thoughts and came back with a definite answer.
“It shouldn’t be an issue since it’s common when coming back from the brink of death. His memories should return in due time. We can try to do things to bring his memory back,” Rey explained. You raised your eyebrows and thought it over.
“If Ben is down, it wouldn’t hurt to try.”
—
Ben was confused at first, but he understood what happened to him and was eager to get his memories back. The first thing that was proposed to bring his memory back was an introduction to the force. Rey’s thought process was that since the force is within everyone, she could manually unlock the memories that resided within Ben.
“So just relax and focus on the feeling of everything around you. Before you lost your memory, you could use the force—pretty well, in fact—and this could be a key to unlocking your memories,” Rey explained. You, Chewie and Finn sat 50 yards away, watching everything go down. It was a nice day to be outside, so the planning for this event couldn’t have been any more perfect.
“Do you think this is going to do anything? I mean, look at them; they’ve been sitting there for ten minutes and nothing has happened,” Finn whispered. Chewie said something along the lines of be patient and relax, but Wookie was always hard for you. Finn grumbled and leaned his back against the tree.
After another couple of minutes, Ben rose into the air. Everyone noticed his achievement and calmly celebrated. Rey soon followed him up into the air and tried to connect with him through the force. This action caused a loud boom and for both of them to fall to the ground with a thud.
“Ow,” Ben said. They stood up and walked over to where you were sitting.
“It appears that Ben’s mind cannot be opened by the force. we will have to try other ways.”
—
It was Chewbacca’s attempt at bringing back Ben’s memories. His strategy was to create a mass panic. His logic was that a traumatic event can bring back previous memories that had been long forgotten. Adrenaline would flow through his veins, and then he would remember everything.
You, Rey and Finn followed them into the Falcon. Since Han was Ben’s dad, he was taught how to operate aircraft from a young age.
All of you strapped in and Chewie launched into the atmosphere. He then shut down all of the systems, causing the ship to begin to crash down to the planet. The feeling of free-falling was enough to make you white-knuckle the armrests of your seat. Chewbacca just sat back, waiting to intervene. “Ben, take control already!”
“I-I don’t know how! Do I press this button here?!”
Everyone was panicking, except for the mastermind behind this project, as Ben grabbed the controls. He was hyperventilating and didn’t know what to do. As the Falcon plummeted, nothing was clicking and the controls had to be taken back. Chewbacca evened out the flight path and it was smooth sailing down to the ground. You were shaking, Finn looked sick, and Rey’s eyes were wide with terror.
Upon landing, Finn ran off and threw up onto the nearest bush. You and Rey walked off, still shaking from adrenaline and Ben had to be pried away from the co-pilot seat by Chewbacca since he was frozen with fear. This fight or flight strategy didn’t trigger any of Ben’s memories, so it was onto Finn’s attempt.
—
“Is this necessary? I mean, wasn’t I the bad guy at this point of time?” Ben asked as Finn handed him a black helmet that resembled that of Kylo Ren’s. Finn placed a storm trooper helmet on his head.
“Think of it this way: you spent a lot of time as the villain and maybe, just maybe, that will trigger something,” Finn explained. You and Rey snickered as Ben held a stick representing a light saber. He felt ridiculous, of course, but Finn seemed really into it for some weird reason. “Alright, now instruct me to kill those people,” Finn said, pointing to the barrels that he lined up on the outskirts of the training area.
“Now you, storm trooper, kill those people in that village,” Ben instructed. His voice was shaky and echoed within the helmet. He was uncomfortable at giving these instructions and there was a comedic effect coming from you and Rey. Finn followed his orders and shot a blaster at a few trees in the distance.
“Anything yet?” Finn asked. Ben shook his head and Finn hung his head in defeat. Ben took of the helmet and dropped the stick as Finn walked over to him.
“What in heavens is going on over here?!” Poe yelled. Everyone scattered despite Poe’s confusion.
—
“I’m trying to remember, really. It’s just so hard since I’m trying to pull things from an empty void,” Ben sulked. You sat beside him and rubbed his back.
“I’m sure you’ll remember soon, Ben. It’s just going to take time. I don’t know first hand how tough this is on you, but it’s alright to not force it. No one is rushing you, so take your time.”
“I doubt it will happen soon. It’s already been two weeks and I just want to know everything that made me who I am. I wanna know why I turned to the dark side and I wanna know what my childhood was like. I want to know!”
An idea popped into your head.
“Hey, no need to yell. How about we just don’t worry about remembering and just create more memories. If you want to ask me questions while we’re at it, ask away. I declare that we go somewhere,” you said. Ben looked at you and raised his eyebrow. Then he smiled.
“Where?” He asked you. You smirked and stood up.
“My favorite place.”
Hi I read your tags and I have to say something. Your experiences are very neurologically concerning and I think you should really see someone right away. It’s not normal at all and it would be good to know as much as you can. I don’t want to scare you, it could really be no big deal at all, but think it’s just safe to make sure!
yeah that's what i thought ;^; i don't know what to do abt it at this point but i'm gonna talk to my therapist abt it so he can confirm that it's neurological n not just psychological skdjdj
Unlocking Memories
When she had woken up that morning, she had thought it was late due to the sun shining in through the window already only to check her phone and find out that it was six in the morning. Knowing that remaining in bed would mean staring up at the ceiling for a few good hours, she decided to go ahead and get up, even if she wasn't ready to start the day yet. Once she had gone through her morning routine and changed into some comfortable clothes, she headed downstairs.
First things first: get a pot of water boiling and go and check the mail. After making sure that the kettle was full of water and on the stove, she headed outside, pulling her sweater around her as the crisp morning air hit her. Padding to the mailbox, she grabbed the mail and flipped through it. Bills, bills, advertisement, junk mail - ooh, a coupon, she thought to herself as she turned to head back inside. Glancing up, she paused in her step and did a double take, a smile appearing as she matched the face to a name. "Steve? Is that you?"
