okay bitcoin is a de-centralized (not part of any nation) currency that is made/created with blockchains- which are like. unique and super complciated math problems more or less. there's a limited number that can be created in any reasonable amount of time so there's no way to inflate their value. The problem is of course that to complete these takes OBSECENE processing power which means so much wasted energy use that its horrible for the environment, and all in the name of liberatarian bullshit
NFTS are in a similar vein, they're a very very VERY specific token that is wholly unique, despite acting like what is basically an expensive and environmentally destructive html link, people are treating them like they have value. the creation of nfts and bitcoin and other crytpo-currencies is rapidly escalating the destruction of our planet due to the increased use of power for no good reason. all because some people dont want "the goberment" messing with their money.
So basically someone made fake money to avoid the government? Is this technically tax fraud?
