Naruto’s persistence was an uncanny resemblance to a certain man in his past life that never let Madara off on things once decided. Right down to that tanned skin and bubbly attitude in the face of forced arrogance, and eyes that showed more mirth the more Madara tried to resist.
God dammit.
Well, Naruto has his work cut out for him. Just like Hashirama did.
“Do you REALISE that today is, in actuality, my... death anniversary?? Shall we celebrate hm?”
Perhaps too MORBID for the boy’s birthday, but he has come too far in this wretched life to spare anyone his dry humour.
Honestly, though, if Naruto could get through this part, Madara will have no qualms on spending an hour with him. Maybe two, if he’s persistent enough.
