We all know everything- we all contain all the same answers and we all are the same person, we are children, adolescents, adults and the roles we play are so similar that there is no need to give credit to one individual of one era full credentials to deep thoughts about the soul. How do we know that a shaman down in the amazon hasn't discovered what Freud had to say about the unconscious before Freud himself even existed? The difference is how articulate one individual can be and how loud his words can be heard through out the masses. That IS what defines a character of an era. The consolation that is left, though, is the notion that in essence we all know what everyone knows. Nothing is lost.
