Unseamed (Lucy/Steven)
The last few days were eventful to say the least; first, an exciting new possibility of getting to examine a meteor with a professional team only to shut it down because of remnants of DNA. Should the scientists experiment on the strands like they intended to an attempt a cloning procedure, it could mean cataclysmic proportions, something of which Steven really didn't want to have to attempt to stop once again. It was enough dealing with the weather trio!
Secondly, the arrival of the Pike Queen Lucy... Good god, that was hectic. And not to mention interesting. Steven was quite aware of who she was before, but had no idea of how power hungry she seemed to be; coming to request information about the Jade Orb and Rayquaza, something he's not heard about for quite some time before that. One can only hope that his little 'donation' - an invalid cheque of which said "Stop with your quest, it will ultimately be your downfall" - would be enough to steer her clear of a ridiculous idea.
The possibility of her achieving could be closer than it seems. If she has reached the Sky Pillar, and perhaps even it's summit she could very well achieve the power she so foolishly desires.
Thankfully it's nothing Steven has to concern himself with now. After the departure of the renowned Pike Queen and disclosing several thousand questions that they were indeed not in some private, affectionate propinquity the geologist could finally relax a little and get some work done in the office. A little Spring cleaning never went awry!
It was only a small bit of filing that had to be taken care of at this point, seeing as the last couple of days have consisted of some minor housework. Opening the top cabinet in his office, Steven begins flicking through the folders with a walking motion of his fingers to make sure they're all in the right place. This particular cabinet consisted of documented events, mainly digging expeditions but there has been a few exceptions.
Wait, what was that? Knocking? Turning to make sure it was actually nothing, he scanned the room in hopes he wasn't actually going crazy. Once his mind was set at relative ease, he turned back to continue.
Three more knocks were heard; heavier and harder hitting. Of course, it was the door! This was the last thing Steven really needed though, considering the aforementioned events. At this point he'd just be tuckered out. But being raised to present traits of a gentleman, he would hardly ignore. Leaving the files be, he gives a quick paced walk out the office, down the stairs and to the door.
Steven was already quick to assume who this was; the press once again talking about Lucy and him. Seriously, no matter how many times the answer has been said, it never seems to sink with any of them. That said, he opened the door and already began an explanation:
"I'm sorry to disappoint you, but no there's been no intimate between my self or-" ...What in Arceus' name is Lucy doing here? One thing is for sure, she didn't exactly look pleased. He met with a slightly scowling stare as if to say 'don't even mess with me this time'. This look really only came when he was battling, and with the way these two titans clash it might aswell be.
"So, may I ask why you're here this time, Ms. Pike Queen?"
