uh... please don't get mad but can we talk about comment threading please?
I've encountered several people who have said this and made similar points myself. I think this is just a function of having the most users AND having comment threading that encourages exchanges. tumblr has enough users ... but comments aren't threaded and kind of vanish into the ether. Seriously, when I leave a comment here the chances of getting a response are super low. I don't think it's because there aren't enough people, or because I'm boring or something. I just tend not to see comments myself until days later, replying isn't easy... I need to @ the author and hope they notice. Or just reblog the whole thing and try to get their attention that way. It's a feature worth stealing. For years a lack of threading was an issue on youTube too... but even youTube has fixed this... it's 2022!
