(About the Tokio Mew Mew reboot) okok wait I agree a lot on the melanin thing actually now it looks so... bleh... I should have specified that I find something wrong with the other two faces idk why... to me Ryou feels way too bishie and like he cant be stoic and annoyed as naturally as the original model, his face from the premiere looks stiff in an effort to have him look hot all the time. And Ichigo has lost a bit of sweetness to her expression that I found necessary for her not to fall into the "mischevious cat girl" design trope. It is also true that I'm an old nostslgic fuck so maybe I just need to accept change (a.k.a farmene una ragione e buona lì)
I definitely agree that Ryou is too soft and too bishie. His model is my favorite of the male designs we've seen so far, though, so I'm hoping we get more of his broody asshole self in the anime as it airs lol. (Also Masaya has an internal snark that was not explored much in the anime, and tbh I hated him until I read the manga because I thought he was too perfect and too bland, so I'm really hoping the new anime does his character justice.)
And I actually love that Ichigo looks a bit more mischievous. She had that streak a little bit in the manga (mostly in her dynamic with Minto) that we didn't really see in the og anime, so I'm not super opposed to it. (I do still generally dislike the new Mew Mew costumes though. I greatly wish Mia Ikumi hadn't changed them in TMM Re-Turn as much as she did. Changing Bu-Ling's little romper into a dress is a SIN, as well as whatever frilly nonsense is going on Zakuro's head.)
(About that post with Bieber, Ariana and maklemore??) It wasn't Maklemore! The commenter probably made a typo, bc I'm pretty sue they meant Mac Miller (or however is written), who appearently was Ariana's ex
