the specific thing they were pissed about was a podcast host saying that the public discussion around gay people is “the opposite” of what she remembers from her teen years in the 1980s and how that’s denying homophobia or some such bullshit, and after I and several other people said “of course it’s the fucking opposite now, do you know ANYTHING about the eighties” they pivoted to “well the Pulse massacre proves things aren’t that different after all.” and that is when I absolutely lost my temper.

I'm so glad my mom picked last year to retire

dad retired and then in classic dad fashion got too bored and wanted to go back as a substitute so he was around elementary kids again and picking up stuff and since my brother doesn’t go very many places i wouldn’t be surprised if dad brought covid home and passed it around and that’s why my brother got sick but i have no Proof bc he wasn’t tested for it in january they were just like “well he doesn’t have the flu”

People be like “well, I’m not a dirty person, so I don’t have to wash my hands” and they’re the ones always catching colds or the flu

i rarely get sick and i’d be the only employee in the pharmacy who didn’t get sick but i wash my hands before i eat/after i’ve touched the registers and keyboards/handled somebody else’s phone.... i don’t bite my nails and try not to touch my face... they’d be in there sharing snacks and drinks and whatnot... or my favorite: touching the dirty doorknob in the bathroom right after they just washed their hands... i saw ppl do that on breaks at jury duty.... thousands of ppl in there a day... i use a paper towel or my shirt to open the door

I got called for jury duty right before lockdown. I dodged a bullet.

yeah i got picked for jury duty, did that for a week, come home on friday like “ah finally that’s over :) things will be chill now” and then the next morning my brother went to the hospital for over 2 weeks.... and then he came home... things were looking good, going to visit gf in march! and then..... give a girl a break!!!! lmao

It has definitely resparked 8-year-old me’s interest in virology

there’s always that weird kid. i remember after the first time i saw old yeller i was like “what’s rabies?” instead of crying. and then i wanted to look up rabies at the library.

mom wants to do a raised garden bed, probably gonna do potatoes and onions, don’t know what else
