I just got all the gender affirming stuff I ordered from UNTAG!!!! I’m so so so excited and had so much fun trying things on.
The period packing boxers were great, they’re very comfy and you can easily wear them all month so I’m very excited about that. I’ll try to write an update once I’ve used them fully about how they work but they’re great so far.
The binder actually does something unlike the one I had before but I think I ordered the wrong size. I was right in between sizes and I went with the smaller one because I wanted to make sure it did something. It’s uncomfortable and really hard to put on, luckily it’s not so bad I can’t use it but if I were to order again I would definitely order a size up and if anyone is looking at that brand I do think they work well for people with larger chests but don’t hesitate to size up, it’ll still work and be a lot more comfortable.
I also think it will depend on your priorities for comfort vs. making you look as flat as possible. Because they have really strong compression they aren’t the most comfortable, they go up pretty high in the underarm area and might pinch/rub especially if you have more fat there. Also they’re not accessible at all, if you have limited mobility it would be pretty impossible to put on and take off as well as probably rubbing the underarm area really bad if you were using certain mobility aids like crutches, wheelchair etc. Sizing up might help with some of that though.
The packer probably surprised me the most, I wasn’t sure whether I wanted one or whether I would like it but the idea intrigued me enough to try and I’m really glad I did. Even if I don’t really have bottom dysphoria it felt so good and gender affirming to use. Also I think it helped to have something realistic because when I tried packing with socks to try and see if I liked it it just made me uncomfortable. I’m still too scared to wear it anywhere other people might notice a bulge but I’ll definitely be using it when I’m by myself.
I think it looks really realistic for the price and for me personally I wouldn’t really want something more detailed at least at the moment. I got the size small which is probably perfect for being realistic (especially since I’m short) but I’m going to get a medium at some point as well just to see the difference.
Folks that bind their chests, what is the best brand of binder? Especially for people who are fat and have a large chest. I haven’t had one that fits in several years and would like to get one soon!
