They say that we as humans are merely mortal, but I disagree.
When we leave this earth, our veins reach like roots into the ground carrying water to the thirsty earth.
The words that slipped from our tongue live on affecting the lives of all the people we encountered.
The tears we shed, and the tears loved one’s have shed for us
hydrate the ground.
The dust from our body once we are gone floats on a gentle breeze.
We become one with the earth, and from this new life is born. We become the sky, the ground, thoughts, and actions.
These walls that we built will be here long after we are gone,
so the one’s that come after us can feel our very presence
here on earth.
And this my dear, is immortality.
