*a stick is thrown at you. looking at the source of it, you can spot bunny logos, almost picking up another stick but then metting your eyes and dropping it*
hey bean. bet i could beat your wards even as a bunny. less then twenty minutes. ten wards, twenty rupees at stake. yea?
@literal-legend-rabbit
*Green - or at least whoever is in his body - turns, giving you an unimpressed look when he sees you're about to throw another stick. You could just say 'hello'.*
*He blinks, looking around as he tries to figure out who 'bean' is. But... there's no one there?*
Oh- me? Maybe later, I'm exhausted after everything lately. Next time though?
I think I have some old wards if you want to play with those instead.
*He turns back to where he was writing in a new journal, writing something faster this time.*
*something is wrong on the other side of logos's bond. viscerally. like what you felt when pathos was injured except he's not actively blocking you out. something's wrong*
@literal-legend-rabbit
*It's jarring, even with the emotions repressed he all but panics - rushing to Logos and teleporting in record time. He looks around quickly, searching for either the threat or for Logos.*
Green finds himself alone, sneaking off to the cave from before where the wards and silencing charms will keep him safe both for and from others. He doesn't notice the way someone followed him, how they manage to get just inside without being seen, he lets himself feel.
The moment he lets the emotions in, he gives a hysterical laugh that turns into sobs in increments he can't quite trace. Everything is too much and not enough and-
Green knows now who's flesh Ribbon ate. He has a fairly clear idea of what Ribbon did because it's what Kheel would have done.
He is not Kheel. He can not become Kheel. He would be so much more dangerous than her - and she was awfully dangerous.
He doesn't have to touch people to use thread magic.
He has more than thread magic up his sleeve.
He knows how to cast the spells Ganon and Yuga used.
He can rip a chunk out if a goddess with his teeth apparently.
He has a better pain tolerance.
If he lets himself become like Kheel... well, that's why he's got this lovely helpful wall.
The sobs break away into shaking broken hitching breaths as he swings on the cave wall again. The impact soothes something cracked in him.
Better. Slightly.
Closer to fixing the wheels on his little red wagon...
Green swings on the rock wall over and over, sobbing as he shakes and lashes out and feels.
He hates feeling.
"Can't do shit right!" He snarls through sobs.
His magic is acting up again, pulling shadows towards him as little electric sparks dance along his form.
He slams his fists into the solid rock again just to settle the snarling beast in his mind.
He'd feel better if he blew up something with a fire ball. Probably. He loves magic.
He whips around, letting out a scream of pure fucking rage as he slams a ball of fire through the rock wall, melting its way through as it flies away.
It's not enough. It should be!
He should'nt... he shouldn't want to break things!
He does though. He craves the satisfaction of breaking things because he can.
Fine.
He has... a safer outlet. He has ways to do that without hurting people.
Green summons every bit of ugly pottery he's been savings for a rainy day until the cave is filled with hundreds of clay pieces.
The air shifts, and he doesn't notice but a protective shield is put up by Audrah around the person spying. She knows what's about to happen, but she won't let him hurt the person either.
Green starts hurling piece after piece of ugly pottery at the walls, screaming and sobbing as he lets himself feel so he doesn't break later.
The sounds of shattering pottery mix with the raw, ugly, primal sounds that escape him.
He snarls, imagining the wall as Ribbon for a moment as he hurls a burning piece of pottery at it.
It shatters, and the sound is absolutely delightful.
"I CLEANED HIS FUCKING BLOOD OFF OF YOU AND YOU DIDN'T HAVE THE DECENCY TO FEEL SORRY!"
He hurls more pottery, piece after piece until these broken all four hundred or so and then hurled any large pieces left after again.
Shadows solidify and whip around him, breaking the fragments further.
Every shattering sound soothes him further.
He's exhausted by the end, but... he feels... better. Empty? Less livid at least.
He sighs, backing up against the cave wall before he slides down it and puts his head in his knees. Tears still stream his face.
He's not even alert enough to care when something drapes a blanket over his shoulders... he ignores the soft woman's voice that tells him to rest.
He can't do anything right.
He keeps hurting everyone.
Logos keeps crying because of him.
He couldn't help Pathos.
He could help Puck.
He couldn't help Sky.
He made Ravio cry.
This is for the better.
Slowly, he shuts the door better him and his emotions. He picks his head up, wiping away his tears with the blanket, face going calm again as if he didn't just lose control.
There.
Feelings? Dealt with.
That lovely, helpful, magic wall? Back up between him and his emotions.
He should rest...
He sighs, closing his eyes and banishing the broken pottery.
This is fine.
He has it under control.
Totally.
@literal-legend-rabbit logos can have hope and comcern now <3
*a large, divine woman with light grey wings appears beside you, leaning against the wall. her magic feels similar to tulsi's but also... completely opposite, in some weird way*
sup
@evil-twin-vitale
*He startles, actively jumping as he looks you over. You're a deity so you see his spirit as his mortal form - and without a glamor he is much too thin...*
Who are you?
Wait -
You feel like.... Okay are you here to tell me I'm stupid or to fight me or...?
[It’s a few hours before he wakes up again, and really, while he did expect the excruciating pain, he didn’t really want to feel it. Whatsoever. At all.]
[He almost screams then and there, but he manages to stifle it, replacing it with a pained groan.] L-Legend..? Fuck— [He notes that somehow, speaking manages to hurt as well as existing.]
-Ribbon(@shadow-but-bright)
*Green is still right there, humming as he holds you when you wake. The humming stops as he looks down at you, brow creasing.*
Ribbon? Kiddo?
*You sound worse than before... worry laces through him, having not yet put the emotions back behavior that wall.*
hey link. how come when i come to find you, the first thing i hear from your traveling buddies is that you're being dumb and not communicating again and--
...hang on. why are you a ghost? if this is hylia's stupidity again I swear i'll bring her down myself--
@hilda-princess-of-lorule
Because they're snitches, Hilda.
*He turns and his eyes are empty despite his grin.*
*a familiar magic signature appears, and moments later, vitale walks out of the lights in the wall nearby. she opens her mouth as if to say something, then pauses, and seems to change courses*
...you went through with the emotions spell
@evil-twin-vitale
*He looks over, face entirely too calm, and nods.*
After he leaves Ribbon, he needs to let his emotions out so he can function. Unfortunately, Legend is not left unchanged by Kheel or the new Twili traits. He wants blood, and he struggles with that. Audrah shows up to provide an outlet.
Cw: blood, cursing, fighting, fantasizing about hurting others (No one is truly in danger)
As soon as Legend is alone and has properly cast wards, silencing spells and repelants around the secluded cave, he opens the door in the wall between him and his emotions, and then he screams.
He screams with a raw, primal mix of enraged fear and helplessness. Every breath in ends with a violent tsunami of primal, emotionally driven, screaming as an exhale.
His magic crackles viciously in the air around him, rocks and twigs floating as lightning arcs off of him in branching strikes. Shadows warp towars him.
His screams shake the solid, earthen rock walls of his cave as he pours every ounce of emotion into them.
It isn't enough.
Every suspended object is hurled full force at his own wards, catching flares when they hit and the ashes fall to the ground.
Not enough.
He scrubbed his little brother's blood off his brother's kit. He didn't get the revenge he could have. He didn't scream or bite or damage - he just helped the kid clean the blood off like nothing happened.
He is the worst person he knows. At least Kheel never pretended not to be a monster.
He failed Pathos, couldn't find him, couldn't save him, and didn't seek justice.
The debt demands blood and he can't- he
LEGEND CAN'T!
Laughter bubbles up from the same place as the rage and hatred, hysterical and loud. It bounces off the walls as he shakes.
He laughs and laughs, turning to the cave walls and swinging on them over and over, the pain sparks enough of his instincts to simulate fighting.
Legend laughs as he slams his fists into the cave wall over and over and over until he realizes it would be so much more satisfying to rip into something with his teeth.
It's really better that he's isolated himself.
He picks up a rock, and if he were still in his body he'd like to say he would think harder but that's a lie. In this state he wants a debt paid.
Legend snarls as he bites the rock in half with jaw power he doesn't remember having - but it isn't enough!
It's not enough!
Not enough.
For a moment, he wonders if he could find something to rip apart with his teeth and claws to take out his anger on. It wouldn't be that hard, would it?
No.
No, it would be easy, but that's why he's isolated himself. He's not going to give into the urge to hurt others just because he's losing his shit-
He should rip open Ribbon for what the kid did to Pathos, remind the kid no one touches someone Green loves and gets away with it- no.
No.
He is not not doing that.
Ribbon is still Pathos' kit, and when push comes to shove Pathos, Ethos, and Logos will always, always choose their kit over anything else.
(Part of Green rages at that thought. They're his they accepted the claiming bonds and they'd chose someone they don't have the same bond with?! Bullshit! That part is outweighed by the part that doesn't want to be why any child is cast away.)
Besides... Ribbon is Green's nephew. He is a kid that Green cares about. He won't.
Lightning still arcs off of him in unpredictable movements, striking everything within the boundaries of the cave without hesitation.
Legend laughs again, mean and cold and vicious.
He's not going to be normal ever again, is he?
Whatever. He doesn't deserve to be normal.
There's a shift in the air, and then a woman speaks.
"You're not going to settle until you get an honest fight where you draw blood enough to satisfy the urge for justice," comes the voice of Audrah.
Legend whips around weightlessly, flashing a wide smile that is more a baring of teeth than anything. "Decide to be useful finally?"
She smiles back, somewhere between warm and feral as she draws her scimitar. "I try."
"I'm going to shred you to fucking confetti and throw it to the sea," Legend snarls darkly, surging forwards with teeth and claws.
"No weapons?" Audrah laughs, tossing her scimitar and it dissapears. "I knew you were my kind of person."
She dodges, gripping him by his upper arm and spinning - flinging him towards a wall.
He flips in the air, no longer confined to the rules of a mortal body. He cackles, vicious and icy as he hurls lightning at her without realizing.
He hasn't processed that he has lightnings powers yet, but who cares.
Audrah catches the lightning and absorbs it without a care. She grins at him, teeth glinting in the low light.
"You're a little slow, clover," She goals.
Legend charges forwards snd loses track of his own movement. All he knows it movement, dodging, attacking, and the fact that everything he does is instinct.
He flies about the cave, flipping mid air and cackling as he darts around a goddess.
She is not an easy fight - but that makes it better. He won't break her like he'd break anyone else.
Finally, after the eighth time he hits the cave wall, he darts behind her and sinks his teeth into her arm.
Divine blood wells up around his teeth, leaking into his mouth. It is only that he is hers that he isn't burned to ask at the touch of the substance.
Her blood, Legend realizes, is just liquid magic and spite mixed together and given a golden color.
He gets shaken off, thrown to the floor as if he is little more than an unruly craft she can't stand.
Audrah looms, golden lightning arcing off of her just as it does him, shadows warp towards her now and a very small, rational part of his brain says she must be playing nice because he should he dead even as a ghost.
He licks his lips and teeth, tasting more of her blood, and it's still not enough.
Time and actions blur again as laughter and taunts fill the air. Pain laces his form sometimes, but he lands enough hits that he doesn't care.
He gets ahold of her again, ripping a chunk of her upper arm out with his teeth, spitting it at the floor as he hooks claws into the wound.
"Fuck!" She hisses, trying to dislodge him.
Legend tears at the wound, opening it further as more and more of her golden blood leaks out slowly - lazily like cold molases.
Vicious glee and satisfaction lead him to rip the wound open, and then a hand closes around his hair -
His mind clears as he is pulled off of her.
His magic and instincts purr. Enough blood has been drawn as it coats most of her arm. He thinks if she were mortal, it would need to be more, but she is a goddess, and he's drawn more than most.
That's-
Audrah sets himself down, looking him over as her own presence and magic start to calm.
"You back?"
"... I'm less bloodthirsty."
"Good."
"What was that?"
"Some of that was twili instincts, some was probably influenced by Khee and your experiences."
"Shit."
"It gets easier. Handling the Twili instincts takes time, but you can learn."
"You... came to help."
"I did."
"Why didn't you help Pathos?!"
"I wasn't watching him, I was actually watching over cottontail."
"Sounds like a bullshit excuse."
"If you say so."
He sighs, exhaustion starts to creep in. He - didn't hold back, and the cave is covered in marks that mean someone should be dead.
"Why come at all?"
"You needed a fight, and someone that's harder to break."
"Yeah... can you leave now?"
"If you want me to."
"I really dom"
"Very well. Rest. You are a spirit but you're still injured from the fight. It'll heal quick enough if you rest," Audrah says before she walks away, dissapearing into the wind just outside the cave.
Legend... aches. He wants nothin more than to find Pathos, and take a nap.
For now though, he needs to close the door in the wall between him and his emotions again. He opened it when he got here, knowing he needed to release and now it's time to stop.
He... should rest for a few hours and then go check on Logos and Ethos while his magic searches for Pathos.
