BACKSTORY:
Alexandria was kicking a soccer ball around her back yard before she could properly run. Her mother and father argued over which side of the family she got her athletics from, but both of them were equally proud of her prowess on the field.
No one could keep up with her in her league. Alexandria flew down the field, almost literally, and has a natural grace on and off the soccer field that suggested her supernatural heritage.
Rainsburg offered her a full ride scholarship to play soccer for a regionally ranked team right before her eighteenth birthday. She said yes, of course, even though her parents were still keeping an eye on her every full moon.
But three years have come and gone without any triggering, and Alexandria had nearly forgotten about moonskins while away at college. She’s convinced herself that she just didn’t inherit the gene and had focused all of her efforts into her soccer game.
EXTENDED BIOGRAPHY
Even as a little kid, Alex wasn’t your stereotypical pink bow, pigtail wearing, doll and unicorn obsessed girl. Her earliest memory was of wobbling around in the back yard and kicking a soccer ball at her father. Of course, it hadn’t gone very far, but for Alex it was a start. As soon as she could run around, her parents put her on a kid’s soccer team, both of them incredibly proud of their daughter.
The only child of her parents, Alex lived to make them proud, whether it be in school or on the field. In her mind, letting down her parents was the worst possible thing she could possibly do.
Alexandria had grown known of her heritage, though she didn’t really understand it until she got older. When she was young, she used to imaging running around as a wolf, howling at the moon and being as free as a bird. As she grew up, she would still run wild and free, but chasing after a ball instead of the moon.
When she started high school, almost every breath she took was to get her a scholarship to college. In a way, she would have felt like a failure if she hadn’t gotten a scholarship. After all, her parents had done so much for her, sacrificing so much time and hauling her all over from practices to games- why shouldn’t she pay them back. When she wasn’t practicing, she was studying, struggling to get the good grades she needed.
All the while, Alex waited to trigger. Almost as badly as she wanted a scholarship or to play soccer, she wanted to be a moonskin. She knew deep down that she was a wolf. It just felt right to her. But her seventeenth birthday came and went. And Alex kept waiting and waiting, hoping and praying that she might just trigger.
Just before her eighteenth birthday, a letter arrived in the mail holding what could only be described as a triumph: a full ride to play soccer. Never had she remembered seeing her parents so proud of her. After the letter came, her life became a whirlwind. Graduation came and went, then college began. Classes started, a semester ended. Then another. Then another. Suddenly three years came and went. No change.
By the time she had turned twenty one, Alex had come to terms with the fact that she might not ever trigger. Maybe she was just one of the unlucky ones that the gene passed over. Whatever the reason might have been, she pushed all worries of moonskins and triggers and wolves aside and focused on soccer. If she couldn’t be a wolf in the wild, she would be a wolf on the field.
EXTENDED PERSONALITY
Alex lives in a bubble of her own creation. Her world consists of the things that matter to her- her parents, her teammates, soccer, and her education. Her ideas and mindset rule this little kingdom in her head, and while others are absolutely entitled to their opinion, that doesn’t mean that Alex will think it’s right. She’s extremely passionate about the things she believes in and believes in them whole heartedly. It would have to take a meteor of a situation crashing down on her world to ever change her mind.
She’s also extremely dedicated and loyal to those she cares about, almost to a fault. Alex is quick to make a friend of someone and slow to let go, even if she should. She will always want to help those she cares about and will drop everything if she needs to. Her dedication to the people in her life and what they want almost always comes before the things she wants. One of her biggest faults is that she forgets to do what will make her happy, and thinks that what others want or expect of her is what she wants.
PACK RELATIONS
Since Alex has not been triggered, she doesn’t exactly know everything about being a member of a pack, though she has some ideas of what it’s like. She believes that being a member of a pack is like having a large extended family- something she didn’t really have but always wanted as a child. These were the people you spent time with, who you went to with your problems and your triumphs. She imagines a pack in a much idealized way, leaving out the parts where not everyone may get along. Because of this fantasy, picture perfect idea of a pack, Alex has always wanted to be a member of one.
Alex does know about the High Pack and their influence on the moonskin community, and has a few of her own opinions. While she agrees that there should be some sort of higher power divided between a few wolves, she doesn’t agree with the idea of holding power for life. What if a member of the High pack refuses to relinquish their seat, doesn’t show any signs of dying any time soon, and is not benefiting the moonskin community in any way? She believes that there should be some sort of election and a set term for members of the High Pack.
hey guys, i just want to let everyone know that panic/anxiety attacks don't need to be triggered. it is 100% plausible to just have a random attack in the middle of anything, no warning or trigger needed.
just letting you know
