sorry but the last track “the promise (last goodbye)” is actually soooo akdjskdjdkfjkdf LIKE. they’re bringing back the leitmotif of die toteninsel but instead of using the original recursive four-note melody, simulating a cycle with no escape, they resolved it here, ended it on a hopeful note and then brought it into a new melody altogether. the loop is broken!! the promise is fulfilled!! this really is the last goodbye…..
