Recommendations! Remember when American presidential elections were mostly reasonable and could actually be satirized because they weren’t heartbreaking real-life dystopian satire to begin with? For a sweet return to days gone by, may I suggest 30 Rock season 7 episodes 4 and 5, available on Netflix, in which: Season 7 Episode 4 “Unwindulax”: Jack takes Liz to a Republican fundraiser as his chum; Jack hires Don Cheadle to make a campaign ad for Romney; Jack and Tracy discover which one state will decide the election. Also: Kellan Lutz eats marshmAhlows. Season 7 Episode 5 “There’s No I in America”: Jack and Liz compete for Jenna to campaign for their candidates; the first debate of the Jenna-ral election takes place; Pete tries to bring the hope-filled days of the 2008 Obama election to 30 Rock in 2012; Kenneth votes for the first time.
