He then pulls away, puts you down and goes to the sink to wash off.
Nothing happened.
He looks at you with those piercing eyes once again, then leaves the bathroom.
What just happened? Nothing. Nothing just happened.
You exit the room, a little tired. Make your way to the table again, where Jaehee and Zen were seated, waiting for you.
The food and toasts and speeches all finished after awhile, and it was dark out already. Zen invited you to his place, but you refused politely.
Your chest starts to hurt.
Zen.
He took you home, wraps his arms around you and hugs you tightly, bids you goodnight, then leaves.
Jumin was still in your head. He was still breaking your heart. You didn’t know what to feel, did you?
You were hung up on the idea of Jumin and what happened. Was Jumin healthy for you? Did he even love you?
And the thought kept you up.
And out of your broken-ness. You take yourself out to walk, wearing shorts and a simple oversized shirt. And your tired feet take you to the apartment complex a few minutes away. You stood in front of the door to the flat.
What were you doing here? Why out of all the places?
You couldn’t get the guts to knock on the door, considering it was 1am.
You let out a breath. And looked down at your feet standing on sandals.
You hear the door open.
“MC?”
Zen stood in front of you, confused.
You look up to him, his hair was tied in a bun and he was wearing nothing but sweatpants. He looks at you, worried. The tears started to roll down your face. You drop on your knees, in front of him. He instantly dropped and asked if you were okay.
Next thing you know, you were on a walk. With Zen. A cold breeze passed.
“Here.” He puts his jacket around you.
You felt a warmth in your heart. You felt at home.
“Are you okay?” He follows up.
You softly nod.
“I can’t bare it.” He looks down.
“What do you mean?” You ask.
“You.”
You felt your heart skip a beat. Why? He said he couldn’t stand you. It made your heart feel heavy.
“I can’t stand it.” He continues. “I can’t stand seeing you get hurt. I can’t stand seeing you cry.” It makes me feel dead. You don’t deserve to feel that.” He sighs.
Oh.
“Zen.” You say.
“Don’t look at me.” He says. “You’re to pretty to cry, it makes me sad to see you like that.”
why did you have to fall for that idiot.
You two continued to walk, until you reached the top of the hill. You two sat, being able to watch the stars and the city.
“So.” He tries to start a conversation. “You’re a little stupid for not bringing a jacket.” He giggles.
Its true though??
“Well, my feet just started walking.” You say.
He turns away. Did you say anything wrong?
You two chat up about everything.
“Why aren’t you dating anyone, Zen?” You ask out of the blue.
“I don’t know. I guess I’m not about that anymore.”
“Really?”
“Yeah. And there’s this girl I’ve been chasing for awhile now.”
“Hmm? She doesn’t like you back?” You ask.
“I’m not entirely sure. She does things that make my chest heat up and tighten, which isn’t really healthy but it feels good.” He smiles.
He must really be in love.
“I’m sure she’ll fall right towards you. So, good luck with that!” You cheer him on.
“Thanks.” His smile looks assured, happy. “I’m not going to give up on her that quickly.”
“Eh? Why’d you even think of giving up”
“Someone else is trying to get a hand of her, but he’s not exactly the best for her.”
“I’ll cheer you on forever, Zen” You smile at him.
“I hope so.” He closes his eyes.
A few hours later, you two end up watching the sunrise.
“Zen!” You call out. “The sunrise.”
“Oh? Wow.” He stares.
“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” You state.
“Yes, you are.” He says. But you didn’t hear that clearly, did you?
“What?” You ask, clarifying.
“Amazing, right?” He smiles, you were almost at the edge, and he laid back on a tree, watching over you.
“Yeah.” You say, cheerfully.
“If only you knew how much beauty I see.” He whispers to himself. He calls out to you. “Breakfast?” He says, pointing out to leave.
“Yes please.” You say, with joy. You haven’t felt like this in awhile, have you? Still, it felt nice.

He brought you to this nice diner, where you two shared the happiest breakfast you’ve had in awhile.
