Dead Cells more changes and a public beta
Dead Cells game update 34 goes into beta phase for Linux, Mac, and Windows PC. Once again due to the continuous dedication of developer Motion Twin. Available on Steam and Humble Store. So, Dead Cells developer Motion Twin just made a fix for some problems when trying to save their game on different computers. But don't worry, they think they fixed it. But use the Bug Report Form, if anything is still breaking. There is also a new update for Dead Cells on Linux called "Clean Cut". It's still in the testing phase, but it's almost ready for everyone to play. And they added a lot of new things to the game that I'm going to explain.
New Weapons
First off, we now have a new weapon called Sewing Scissors that can kill any enemy instantly. As long as one of them dies from the weapon's normal damage. While offering another new weapon called the Giant Comb. This can throw enemies into the air and do extra damage to them while in the air. Linux players will also have a new character in this Dead Cells update called the Tailor's Daughter. If you find her in the Tailor's Room, she can help you change the way your character's head looks for free.
More Modes for Dead Cells
They also added a new mode called "Speedrun Mode" so you can see how long it takes you to finish each level. It even shows you your best times and lets you compare them to your current run. Another new Dead Cells mode they added is called "Boss Rush DIY Mode". This lets you choose which bosses you want to fight in a run. While adding three new bosses in this game update from "Return to Castlevania" into this mode. There are some changes to the Training Room too. Adding in a bunch of new options to help you experiment with different weapons and scrolls. They even included a new "Training Dummy" so you can see how much damage you're doing. Along with changes to how mutations work in Dead Cells. Mutations are like special powers that you can unlock and use to help you in the game. One of the mutations "Berserker" now lets you stack it up to be even stronger. While making you immune to stuns. Another mutation called "Combo" lets you do more damage the more times you hit enemies in a short amount of time. Motion Twin also changed some of the bosses in the game to make them easier or harder. For example, they made it easier to avoid Dracula's fire pillars. While at the same time, making Medusa's attacks do more damage.
How to play the Beta Version:
When you play the Linux beta version of the game, it will save your progress in a certain spot. But you won't be able to go back to an older version 33 of the game, while playing the beta. However, when the new update (version 34) officially releases. Your progress from the beta will be added to the new version of the game on Linux too. To join the Beta on Linux, first BACKUP YOUR SAVE FILE, then follow these instructions:
Go to your Steam game library.
Right click on Dead Cells and click "properties".
Select the tab "Betas".
In the first dropdown box select "Beta".
Click close and wait for the upload to finish downloading.
Start playing.
Well, that's the overview of new changes for the game. Dead Cells is available on Steam and Humble Store. This way you can take part in the Beta on Linux with Mac and Windows PC. Priced at $24.99 USD / £21.99 / 24,99€. Which is also Steam Deck Verified.

I’ve spent the better part of a week failing to finish the Tower of Frost on solo, using a character that ought to be able to solo it successfully. Yes, I am out of practice. Yes, this is a first-life character with a slightly vanity build. But that just isn’t enough explanation. Something else is going on. Now they are just ganging up on me. Note the Tier 2 champion on Hard I take a look…

Update #34
I’ve finished reading Fated and I haven't gotten lost in a book like this since The Mortal Instruments series. I will be writing up the review tomorrow which will be up by Friday morning. Happy Holidays!
“That old saying- ignorance is bliss-finally makes sense.
The ignorant are definitely the lucky ones here.
Though unfortunately for me, I’m no longer part of that group. I’ve split from their ranks.”
-Fated (Chapter 12, Page 96)
Until Next Time...

GOOD MORNING, TUMBLR.
That's right. I woke up at 7AM willingly. And yes, this is a sign of the coming Apocalypse. Prepare your shotguns and Enochian warding spells accordingly.
I'll probably regret this later since I did only get a little more than three hours of solid sleep, but I rolled over and was wide-ass awake and I didn't see any sense in laying there for hours willing myself back to sleep. Especially not since my alarm was set for eleven.
I think a little more caffeine than usual and slipping off to bed early tonight ought to keep me on track.
In the meantime: today, Tumblr, we draw. There will be extensive PS abuse going on.
