Publisher Konami and developers Evil Empire and Motion Twin have announced Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC (Steam). It will launch in 2026.

Medieval Paris, where the tolling bells herald the end. 1499, Paris is engulfed in flames as monstrous creatures suddenly emerge from the shadows. we went from dead cells getting a castlevania dlc — which already felt like a perfect match — to konami straight up trusting evil empire with a FULL castlevania game???
like genuinely we could not have asked for a better studio for this
dead cells already proved they understand EVERYTHING that makes castlevania work — the combat, the movement, the atmosphere, the whole gothic vibe — it just fits so naturally
and now they’re making an actual new entry in the series???
that pipeline from “collab dlc” to “here take the franchise” is actually crazy
