No offense but all these news stories about robotics teams building wheelchairs for kids who can’t walk after insurance won’t cover a cent... nurses adopting WANTED children whose parents can’t afford their medical needs... even people rallying together to help someone in need avoid massive debt after an accident or illness???

are NOT UPLIFTING in the slightest.

We live with a broken healthcare system that functionally robs anyone who is not a multimillionaire, leaving the rest of us to depend on the kindness of other (comparatively) poor people to get us through it.

Stop sharing these like they are happy stories because for every “miracle” there are hundreds of thousands of people in the same situation who aren’t so lucky

So, as you guys could probably tell from some of my more recent posts, I’m not in such a great place again. Among other things, because I’m thinking about my stories, long and short-term again, and stressing out about my future, and the legacy I’ll leave by (hopefully) getting my stories out there, and gaining an audience.

Finally I figured, rather than continuing to drive myself crazy with worry and self-pity, I might as well take a moment to reach out to anyone who’s in the same boat as me.

So here’s a shout-out to any creators out there, whether you be writers, artists, both, or something else, who put a lot of time and thought into your work, only for it to go largely unseen.

Who feel invisible, especially compared to other talented and more popular artists.

Who want, so badly, to put your art out there in some way, and get noticed for it, but either can’t figure out how to do so, or are scared to start, for one reason or another.

You guys are so, so talented and incredible and valid and wonderful, and as long as what you’re creating makes you happy and brings you joy, I encourage you to keep doing it. Even if it doesn’t get a lot of attention, keep creating, for yourself, if no one else. I promise you, what you make matters, and so do you.

One of the worst things is missing an old friend who shared your unique sense of humor, because once they're gone and see or hear something funny, you laugh to yourself and think, "Ugh, they would have laughed so hard over that." Then you sit there sadly and realize you'll never be able to tell them.

I know exactly what u feel I'm always afraid when it comes to bigger trips I just want to puke all my guts But my parents was sending me alone to different places in Europe. English is not my first language (i had to learn germany too & could just start sentence in one language, continue in 2nd and end it in 3rd I was hella stressed and I had only 13 yrs) so first time was awful but than I thought screw people. I was bullied a lot in school at this time and other people were thinking about me as

a snob only bcos I wasn’t chatty so I was mostly alone I started to walking around alone. We could do what we wanted for 99% of time. I pretended than I know what to do and where to goAnd at first it won’t be feeling good but belive me when after 5 years when I comed back to london and some (really hot) guy hit on me (he asked me where is National Museum and I was like: we are standing in gate of national musem and he broke to laugh and start to chat with me. He even wanted to meet again and was really supriced when I told him that I’m from Poland and english is not my first language. Don’t care about people u will be on this trip with. Enjoy museums, coffee shops, bookstores, parks, EVEN FUCKING PLATES WITH PHOTO OF QUEEN. Take brunch of books (good books) and headphones. Make your wish come true and fuck people. When u feel bad just open book or play fav song. STAY STRONG! LOVE U ANON ( i hope I send all msgs as anon)
