You can use Upper-structure Triads as a great way to get some interesting and colorful chords.
On guitar they can be a bit tricky because we have to construct our own voicings rather than rely on systems like drop2 or shell voicings. But they are often beautiful 4-5 note voicings and making your own chords like this is both fun and good for both theory and fretboard knowledge.
