The movies now that I'm an informed and older queer,,, the movies suck. The male gaze is everywhere and the brutalizing and demeaning of women is so so constant even in small ways (Im talking about on screen characters here, but I know off camera it is also bad). I'm so annoyed and bored and angry like how the frick has the industry gotten away with this garbage for so long. CAN WE PLEASE get ALL women and queers and neurodivergents and people of color in the writing room. The writing the plot the directing idk whatever jobs there are to be had, get someone other than a hetero man in there I'm crying.

Maybe I'm also just a little harsher on this because now I've realized my queer identity and seeing sex and romance as key selling points in every trailer except the one for a horror movie was really annoying. Like I know not every movie is made for me but not ONE trailer had a half decent plot let alone one where a woman had any agency. I just ,,, how is the bar just so embedded-into-the-Mariana-trench low

I was searching through my archive for old posts to laugh at and I just saw something I posted a really long time ago and it was so absolutely horrifyingly disgustly awful that I began to have fucking heart failure on the spot. I HAD TO DELETE THAT SHIT FAST AS A MOTHERFUCKER CAN BECAUSE HOOO BOY IT WAS BAD. Kinda makes me want to travel to the past and slap younger me for posting something that fucking stupid. 

You don’t need to know what it was about because if you knew I’d just toss myself off a bridge, just know that I’m... not like that anymore. Thank god I was spared the utter and total embarrassment and it only had like twenty notes because oh god, it could have been WAY worse for me. I personally think that over the years I have definitely matured as a person and I just absolutely flinched at the thought that this old post was something that I had written myself and then decided it was ok for publishing out to all my followers. I’m just very UPSETTI SPAGHETTI about this. Ruined my night to be honest.

I’m very disappointed in past me. So very disappointed.
