Friday's show will be graced by a performance from BLOCKED NUMBERS, the experimental electronic project of Robert Godinez from Slow Attack and No Trauma. Many know his previous work with the dance-punk legends The Young Maths, and his first smash into the local scene with foundational pop-punk group Yoink!, but Blocked Numbers has by far been Robert's most unique and challenging output, as well as his most raw and intimate, which may be why it has not yet reached a wider audience compared to his other work. However, Robert is a true artist in every sense of the word, in my opinion one of the most creative minds the Rio Grande Valley has ever had, and he has prepared something very special for this Friday's performance, so I would like to formally invite you, the reader, to attend this show on Friday. It will be at Yerberia Cultura in McAllen, the doors open at 8pm, the cover is $5 for all, and the set times will be announced tomorrow afternoon.
