Ah is there nothing more romantic than being given the gift of Akagi merch

During January of 2012, preorders opened for a set of Akagi themed cookies advertised to be for Valentines day and White day, with an ad featured in Kindai Mahjong. The deadline for valentines ordering was Feb. 6th and would be shipped out the 10th of that month, and White Day deadlines were the same days the next month.

The designs, printed on the driest most flavorless looking little horrors of cookies were noted in ads and articles to be subject to change, and that did appear to be the case as the advertised designs of monochromatic images of Akagi and Washizu changed to full color images of various characters, being:

Akagi

Washizu

Ichikawa

Urabe

Ten as well, for some reason.

I believe this was the first run of Valentines day/white day Akagi cookies, but it was not the last as there were also sets released during later years.

One person commented on how strange it was to give cookies that mostly had old men on them as a romantic gift. But we fkmt fans are known for our atrocious taste in men after all.

They sat at about 75mm tall and went up for preorder for 1,200 yen.
