I went a little differently with this one. Yes I think Seiten Taisei’s birth is definitely the start of grander scenes in Saiyuki, but I feel like the crowning of the diadem is what set things into motion. Before then he was just a little sage roaming the earth. Because the gods felt the need to bring him to heaven, the rebellion happened and the gears for the rest of the events of Saiyuki began to turn.
