Purple Smokey Eye Tutorial
1. Start with a good, clean base. I removed any eye makeup from before (except for some mascara, oops) and applied Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Eden to the lid and along the lower lashline.
2. Using an eyeliner as a base is a really good way to make colors pop and it adds extra staying power to your shadow. I applied Urban Decay 24.7 eye pencil in Empire to the first two-thirds of the lid.
3. Before the liner sets, apply shadow over the top of it. (All my shadows are Urban Decay) I used Rapture.
4. Apply Armor to the outer third of the lid.
5. Take a flat, short bristled brush and apply Occupy in a v-shape in the outer corner of the lid. Also brush it along the crease.
6. Using a fluffy brush, blend Buck into the crease, blending out the line of Occupy. Then take Freestyle and blend it above the crease along the brow bone. Above that goes Anonymous. Blend it under the brow and into Freestyle.
7. Now for the lower lashline. Take the leftover Occupy on the short bristled brush and grab some Rapture as well, sweep that along the outer two-thirds of the lashline. Next take Provocateur and press it into the inner corner with a small liner brush. Blend it into the first quarter of the upper lid as well.
8. Now for the liner. First take Empire and place some right under your water line. Use that short bristled brush again to smoke it out. On top of that put on some Perversion and do the same. Then line your water line and tightline the upper lashline (optional, it's more of a personal preference...)
9. Finish up the look with some liquid liner on the top (I winged it out again, that's also up to personal preference, really.) I also pressed a little bit of Black Market into the outer corner of the lid just to smoke it out a bit. Finish it off with some mascara, and you're done!
