For today's walk I decided to take a different type of walk. I decided to take advantage of the track at the local High School by me and did six laps arojnd in addition to the neighborhood walking that I did.
I'm surprised that I hadn't utilized the track before. They keep it open during school hours. And I found it to be a very easy on the knees and it was an intense continual walk since I didnt have worry about street lights and car traffic.
I'll definitely do this type of walk again and increase the amount of laps as I go along.
"My husband convinced me to walk the perimeter of Manhattan with him, in a day – starting at 5.30am. He’d read that it was a “thing” to do. It was a 32-mile thing that took us 14 hours – with a stop for lunch and a couple of other breaks. It was like watching a timelapse video: starting with sunrise on the East river amid people coming home from a night out and early-morning dog walkers, and finishing after the sun had set."
