The first egg of 2019 from my lovely quail! They're seasonal layers and respond to the daylight hours rather than warmth so I'm always awaiting that first one. My hens are quite old now (2/3 years) so I need to buy in a fresh batch of hatching eggs as though they still lay, the fertility is super low.
