When it comes to language, some languages are less picky than others when it comes to animals. In German "Schildkröte" can be used for both turtles and tortoises. And, in Sumerian, ur.maḫ could mean any large mammalian quadrepedal carnivore. Usually between lion and wolf or jackal. To them, canids and felids were close enough. Big, scary, eat people when you give them the chance, any other details are extraneous. Which is why Uridimmu translates to "Howling Mad Lion/Dog". But only below the belt, as above he's a regular ol' man. Unlike his relatives, Uridimmu is the rarest and least-depicted in art. What little is mentioned of him outside of this is that he is the gate-keeper of Marduk and Sarpanit, his wife. He keeps their house, expelling evil from it. During healing rituals Uridimmu is contacted to intercede and beg Marduk to heal the sick or inflicted. He appears in a few other places, never taking as major a role. His image was put on gates and buried underneath the home to protect from evil. Seeing as how sickness was imagined to be the result of demons and healing could be gained from rituals designed to please a god, Uridimmu stands between these two opposing forces. He both keeps the diseases away and helps in their dispersal and curing. But, because he's a demon or monster, he can't health himself. He needs his master Marduk to impart on him the "consignment of life". And, as well, he apparently acts as the gatekeeper to Marduk's home, cementing the fact that he made the demons his servants so long ago.

Intimidation +10. There's a more caring, supplicating version of Uridimmu as described above, but this is not him. There's also a version of him out there wearing a tunic bottom/man skirt but I couldn't get the colors right. So he's free-balling it. There are actually depictions of him with genitals exposed, but that wouldn't really fly on this website. Also, technically he's guarding Ishtar's gate. Maybe Marduk loaned him out? Or maybe he's had to take multiple jobs to make ends meet. Damn this virus, it's affecting everyone! Even the demons!
Next time, we pull a reverse-UNO card on Uridimmu.
