Im going in for my first drug test tomorrow and I'm a bit uncomfortable with the whole pee-in-this-cup procedure. Being female and totally anxious any tips or comfort?

It's difficult but possible.

Take all rings and jewelry off.

One thing you need to accept is that you'll likely pee on yourself. It's not fun and it's gross but when you have to hold the cup beneath you and can't really predict which direction your stream will go, this is what happens.

Many suggest you get started before putting your cup beneath you, which can help at least a little with reducing how much you pee on your hand.

If you have difficulty relaxing enough to pee, you may have to flex it out. Don’t do it too hard, though, and try not to spend more than 5 minutes on the toilet or pushing.

After you have your sample, what I do is wrap my cup in toilet paper, place it to the side, and then get to wiping, and then washing my hands thoroughly.

After, I use either that toilet paper or a paper towel to hold the cup without re-dirtying my hands while I close the lid (of course, no harm in washing up again). This is also a good time to wipe off the cup as well, because it's just as unpleasant to handle a cup covered in pee for your healthcare provider as it is for you.

Drug testing can also be done from hair and blood samples, and from swabbing your mouth, so you may ask if these are options for future testing.

My new dog likes to sneak up on me in the bathroom for a sniff of my diabetic urine, but could I turn this into a medical test with appropriate training? Over the next few weeks and months I will collect samples and begin training her, I will do update videos of the progress.
