Summary of the best birthday yet 2014

I feel so happy and grateful, I could burst. My mother and sister are literally the most amazing, thoughtful and beautiful people I have ever known. I'm so lucky to have such wonderful people like them in my life. They've made me the most happiest person in the world right now. Had the bestest birthday with my nearest and dearest. Unfortunately, a select few tried to ruin it by dampening my mood, and they succeeded for about 15 minutes. In the past, I would have lost sleep over something like this, but then I came to realise that not everyone is as mature as I am. Some still habour the mentality of a year 7 child. Actually, that's quite an insult for some year 7's considering the person(s) I'm talking about. I shouldn't allow people to make me feel inferior, not for the sole reason of, "it's my birthday, don't be mean please 😭" but because that is not who God has ordained me to be. I shouldn't be made to feel inferior or scared. • 2 Timothy 1:7 says, "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." This is so so true. Why should I cower and hide? If you've studied Psychology, I'm sure you're familiar with the "self-fulfilling prophecy", i.e. someone makes a negative (or positive) comment directly or indirectly which becomes internalised causing the comment to become true for that person. I shouldn't allow myself to get wound up by negative comments or else, I guess they have rhe potential to manifest. After all, "life and death are in the power of the tongue." (Proverbs 18:21) God Bless! 😄
