Monophasic V's Polyphasic sleep cycles
A friend posted a link on an article about the different sleep cycles on his facebook wall a few minutes ago. And as it's just gone 4am I thought I'd better give it a read.
I've been researching into different sleeping patterns for a while now, looking at polyphasic sleep cycles, lucid dreaming and what dreams mean. It's sort of an interest of mine.
Being a university student I am finding it difficult to come up with a sleeping pattern that works with my studio and extra curricular activities schedules. Also if you ask any of my coursemate's or my tutor, they will tell you I am terrible at making it on time, I've made it in on time twice since starting in September!
I have been going to sleep about 4:30am every morning and waking up about 11am-12pm everyday, but as it is the christmas holiday's I'm allowing the lazy late morning's, but when the new term starts this is going to have to change. I am wanting to find the optimum sleep pattern to start the new year off well.
And who knows, maybe I'll be a morning person this time next year. Anything could happen.
