Getting Parameter from URL using Javascript
Perhaps in some times you need to grab some value directly from url when using javascript language This is what you need to do based on this stackoverflow page
function getUrlVars(){ var vars = [], hash; var hashes = window.location.href.slice(window.location.href.indexOf('?') + 1).split('&'); for(var i = 0; i < hashes.length; i++) { hash = hashes[i].split('='); vars.push(hash[0]); vars[hash[0]] = hash[1]; } return vars; }
For example if you using url like this
http://www.example.com/?me=myValue&name2=SomeOtherValue
You will be able to grab these parameter using returned value like this
// The returned values as json object { "me" : "myValue", "name2" : "SomeOtherValue" } var me = getUrlVars()["me"]; var name2 = getUrlVars()["name2"];
