I studied animation in college, and I've been determined to keep studying. I've been really into Beetlejuice the Musical lately, so I decided to do a really rough animation of Lydia.

So awhile back, my bud @kristiekay suggested that I make a gemsona. 

So here’s SUNSTONE.

Early on in homeworld history, her function was to absorb sunlight and convert it into energy. So basically like a walking solar panel lol. However, Sunstones proved to be a very inefficient with the expansion of the Gem colonies, and were phased out for more efficient sources of energy. As a result, Sunstones were pretty much discarded, with only a few remaining.

She doesn’t let any of this get her down, though. Mostly because she’s kind of oblivious to just how fucked up Gem culture is. She’s quite naive and oblivious about the world around her, which makes it easy for her to be manipulated or mistreated by others. 

Also, she’s an extremely energetic and perky personality, because now that she doesn’t have an outlet for all of the energy she absorbs, it gets bottled up (like being hopped up on caffeine for long periods of time.)
