never , in her right mind would janis ian ever think about kissing regina george herself . sure , they might've been friends a long time ago , but that was a long time ago -- when they didn't need to worry about cliques & trends , when janis could fully look at regina & call her a friend . now ? janis can only see regina as some power hungry bitch who backstabbed her , spread rumors about her & whatnot . was janis still mad about it ? of course she was , yet , she knew , deep down , that that wasn't the regina she knew . that the regina that parades herself in school was someone that was sad & insecure about her looks .
but -- what if they kissed ? what if janis had built up that courage & kissed regina during a sleepover ? or even in the girls' locker room ? what if they weren't at each other's throats ?
janis looks over at her former best friend , sucking in a deep breath before her tentative hand reaches for blonde tresses , secretly hoping that regina doesn't swat her hand away . yet , she's glancing into the other's eyes -- leaning in closely as she's cupping the other's chin , humming softly .
if she makes it in the goddamn burn book for this . .
& for whatever reason , something possessing her -- janis actually does it . she kisses regina on her lips , as if it was her last time being close to her former best friend , as if regina was going to spread more rumors about her being a lesbian & in love with her . whatever -- janis would rather spend her time with regina like this , thinking about their old days where nothing & everything happened , where karen & gretchen never existed , where the plastics never did .
perhaps , all janis wanted in this lifetime was regina george herself .
