One thing that I’ve realized after doing three Zodiac weapons is the time I’ve missed out in having fun with my friends. I was so focused on getting the weapons that I neglected to do the one thing that I enjoyed. After finishing Kaiser Knuckles I finally am going to chill and have fun with my friends in the time till Heavensward comes out.
I want to apologize to my buds Jackiro, Adeline, and Naih for not really being there for you guys because I was too busy power-gaming the relics. I kinda see it that I’ve suppressed myself from having fun, and now I’m going to relearn what it is to have fun, and enjoy the ride.
The true ending of Edda Pureheart, and Avere Bravearm.
Thesound of footsteps can be heard in the aftermath of the failed resurrection ofAvere Bravearm. The Adventurer charges past the disappearing creature that was once Avere towards Edda who was back stepping over the edge. His breath grew heavy as the short distance between the two grew longer. His hand reached out to Edda with his eyes shuddering with tears forming in his eyes. 'Please help her! Don't let her make this choice!'
The Adventurer charged to the edge throwing his arm over, and grabbing hold of Edda's forearm. His body skids across the top with the candles toppling over, and starting to burn against the magical armor protecting him. The adventurer looked through the helmet obscuring his face, and looked down at Edda fidgeting with her hand to try the large hand off her wrist.
The Adventurer shook his head while she looked at him with desperation in her eyes. His grip started to loosen from Edda's resistance and he looked at her with sorrow growing in his face. "Edda don't do this....you can come back from this! I swear believe in me.""
Edda turned her head to the side, and shook her head. "You know as well as I do that coming back from this is futile..." She started to chuckle. "If you had only died, Avere could have used your body! It's all your fault! He will never see the light again!" Her hand grabbed hold of the Adventurers arm and tugged at him applying more weight to the extended limb. "I'll only forgive you if you die!"
The Adventurer braced himself on the edge, and closed his eyes while listening to Edda's desperate words. He could feel his muscles burning, but his emotions were swelling deep inside. The helmet slowly fell off the Adventurer's face showing Avere's face in place of the Adventurer's.
Edda couldn't believe her eyes with the rage still swelling inside of her. She slowly stopped prying at the adventurer's arm, and extended her hand to the side of Avere's face. "Is that really you Avere?"
Avere looked at her with a sorrowful look, and shook his head. "Edda...I am already long since departed from this world. I was a prisoner to that creature you summoned...please let my soul go free. You need to live your own life. You need to move on without me, experience the world for me. Be the body and mind that I cannot."
Edda shook her head, "No, I won't let you go....please don't say such things!"
Avere closed his eyes with tears running down his face. "Edda....I can't keep possession of this body. I don't want to see you die." The hand slowly started to loosen around Edda's wrist.
Edda closed her eyes, "I already made a contract....I will be able to see you soon..." She opened her eyes to look at the Illusion of Avere's face vanish showing the adventurer that Avere admired looking down at her. His hand let go of Edda, and she fell to the darkness below.
The Adventurer turned his head to the side with guilt surging through his body. His hand moved to the center of his temple, and slowly he viewed Avere’s memories while the soul passed on. Tears start to stream down the Adventurer’s face.
Phantom Train - ?????
Avere walked slowly with a bag over his shoulder towards the fog covered train-tracks that resembled the depot in Central Thanalan. He looked at the other incorporeal entities on the train, and slowly handed a fading ticket in his hand to a ghastly conductor.
"Did you finish what you needed to do in the world?"
Avere looked back at the empty station, and looked down.
On the station stood Edda with pale skin, and her tattered robes blowing in the wind. She glanced at Avere with crimson eyes, and held a tome in her hands. "Avere...we made a promise to be together forever...please don't leave me again. I am like you, we can live together like..."
The Phantom train's horn sounded, and slowly the engine started to pull at the interconnected carts. The conductor looked at Edda, and then back to Avere. "This train is for the departed demon....you have no power here."
Avere slowly walked past the conductor, and opened the door to the cabin. He looked over his shoulder, and shook his head. "We are nothing alike Edda....you have fallen so far that even I cannot help you...this is goodbye my soul isn't bound to you anymore."
Edda shook her head, and opened the tome in her possession. "You are a fool! I did this all for you! all for us! I will not let you go! I swear Avere! I won't let your soul rest. I will punish you for eternity!"
Behind Edda, dark flame burned forming into the hood of a masked entity. "That soul is beyond our reach my sweet Edda....we must torment another...namely that Adventurer that foiled your beautiful attempt at happiness. We should end the Adventurer's happiness, why should he have everything when you are stuck with nothing."
Edda collapsed to her knees, and slowly she started to weep. "I don't want this. I don't want the power you gave me! I just want to be with Avere!"
The figure chuckled, "My sweet Edda, you fail to realize your position. Your soul will never forget the rage of your loss, and you will never pass on. For I am Wrexsoul, and you are bound to me for eternity."

rumor mills?
Posts about rumors you might here about characters around Eorzea (/RP setting of choice). I believe this was the post that got things started, (they explain it in better detail) and a number of other XIV RPers on tumblr have been posting their own.
