Don Pedro Albizu Campos was a Puerto Rican attorney, the first to graduate from Harvard University. He spoke 6 languages and was involved in the Irish struggle for Independence. When he started to advocate for Puerto Rican Independence in the, he became a target. He died in 1965 from a stroke, after enduring intense radiation exposure while incarcerated by the US government.

Update about what's happening in my island

Welcome yet again to one of Puerto Rico's numerous islandwide blackouts of the past couple years. This time, right BEFORE hurricane season! While Governor Pierluisi is off on a trip to Spain, families feel horror as ventilators reach battery depletion.

Ever since our electricity was privatized and sold to a colonialist American-Canadian company, we've been experiencing more power outages than I ever have in my 30 years of life here.

They've laid off most of the employees that were familiar with the ancient grid, and raised our bill around 6 times of what it used to be since last year.

Colonialism never failing to make one feel super dehumanized. We'll see how it develops.
