One of the funnier things about having family in rural Canada is learning that their kids play "US American" and this involves phrases like "rootin tootin' howdy y'all" while holding nerf guns and American footballs and wearing baseball caps, pronouncing the letter "z" as "zee" as opposed to "zed" etc.
Like no we should not be dressing up as other people's cultures for Halloween and stuff but I'd say this is a reasonable exception.
It's also always a little funny to me how much guns get treated as almost fictional weaponry over there because I've been asked "have you shot a gun?" In the same tone an American child might ask a random Goth person if they have a magic wand.
