Lavi was something different. Kanda had always had that feeling, which is why he was one of those he himself would secretly protect and call a comrade. However, Lavi would never find out that no, Kanda didn’t hate him, yes he was considered a friend of his, and so much more. Kanda would never be able to voice out his thoughts, to let the Bookman know he was important no it would never happen because there Kanda was, taking his final breath.
how did it come to this?! His regenerating powers had weakened with time, making resurrecting impossible after a certain point.
Limbo was the option given to him, why though? He expected to finally be given freedom, he wanted to rest in peace. Though the swordsman didn’t argue, no, instead he complied and did what was told of him. Only then would he receive his freedom. Little did he know, Kanda didn’t expect his final soul to be that certain little bunny. A frown played at Kanda’s fine features, how saddening to know Lavi was dying. There was a little part of him that wanted the redhead to keep living yet there was the knowledge of the war, the pain he was going through. Death had it’s benefits. Kanda walked up to the dying body, his hand outstretched, another grabbing it. With a gentle pull, the swordsman pulled Lavi’s soul out to stand with him. “Usagi~ It’s been way too long.” he said with a little smirk. “Come, Paradise awaits us both~”
