Finally starting in on a trigger chapter! TEN more chapters after this one and I am done! Playing Entropia Universe in the background, working on my manufacturing skills.
My beautiful lil snake son Usci C:
NaNo... school... so busy...
I have not been able to type up or post anything for... weeks probably.
You have been busy as shit with half a million things. I think that the least of your concerns is posting on Tumblr.
But if I don't post some original content every once in a while, this blog is gonna die. I don't want that to happen.
Just take the time every now and then to let your followers know that you're not dead. Like you have been doing.
I'm on the next part of the Success Promise thing. It's not as grueling as the first six weeks, but i do still have assignments to complete every week. This week, I have two assignments due. Just finished the first one about an hour ago. I really thought that it was going to be an easy one according to the instructions that Graduate Services gave over the phone, but towards the end, I struggled.
The next assignment is a follow-up phone script. I get the impression that it's important, but not supposed to be super strict in format. But given how strict the school is with the resume and cover letter specifications, I do still worry that this assignment may still get plenty of red paint. After the work during the first six weeks, I dread any kind of writing assignment.
You survived that. Now you can survive this.
And on top of it all, it's NaNoWriMo time.
Oh yeah, there is that too, isn't there?
Yup. Still not sure where I'm going with it, but at least I am currently ahead of quota.
Do you want to enlighten your readers on what the story is about?
Not particularly. It starts with a guy living in bush of an Austrailia-like place. His companion is a laughing kookaburra. One day, they see a small meteorite hit the ground. When they go to check it out the next day, the meteorite is gone and there is a trail leading away from the crater.
Wait... so the meteorite literally just got up and walked away?
Yeah, that did kind of happen. Turns out it was an alien with a built in translator. That definitely explains how sometimes the main character and the animals call all understand each other.
Animals? You only mentioned a kookaburra.
Along the way, a thylacine joins the group.
What the fuck is a thylacine?
It's the other name for a Tasmanian tiger.
Uh, the last time I checked, those things are extinct.
There are still a lot of things that I have not cleared up in this story, and that is one of them. Maybe it's a weird dimensional slip and thylacine got through? I don't fucking know yet.
You're gonna have a hell of a lot of editing to do when this is over.
I still need to edit my three previous NaNoWriMo drafts from previous years.
Good Gawd, you're never going to get any of this shit published at this rate.
If real life would just stop getting in the way, I could get this shit done. But that's not going to happen, now, is it?
GOT ACCEPTED TO THE UNIVERSITY OF THE SCIENCES WITH A 40,000 DOLLAR SCHOLARSHIP!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ME!!!
