I disabled this feature and was actually surprised by how much faster my laptop became. My computer is only a couple of years old but this one feature was just sucking so much life out of it behind the scenes. I'd hate to see how much an older computer would be affected. AI features that we don't want are just the absolute worst. They don't make anything better. It was actively making my computer run slower and hotter.
This the report that JK Rowing doesn't want you to see. This report scares her so much that she is trying to destroy Amnesty International, a human rights organization, to stop you reading it:
Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their fundin
(Amnesty already pulled the report because of JKR's threats. Of course that didn't and won't stop her - capitulating to fascists and bigots is never the answer. Alejandra captured the report and posted it, so you can read what JKR doesn't want you to know.)
Oh, she doesn't want people reading it? What a shame.... /sarcasm *reblogs*
I'm just gonna say it....
Mitch is dead, and the only reason the reporter who released that he's brain-dead hasn't leaked his death news is because they will kill/disappear them if they do.

I was gonna say "You know that thing Tumblr does in the weeks leading up to Ides Of March? With the Phineas & Ferb meme? Would that be in bad taste here or nah?"
Relieved I'm not the only one who thought of it...
Artificial intelligence will scan old data, it will not provide new ideas or new designs.
Don't fall for the "you must adapt AI or it will be too late or someone else will do it" false narrative sold by investors.
She's being so big and brave.
Man at that point I'd just pretend i don't know. How the hell am i supposed to answer her riddle? And what? make her feel bad?
I'd rather die!

WELL SHIT, bad news, the KIDS Act with all those Scan Your Face To Use The Net bills (Including KOSA and the App Store Accountability Act) got past the House.
But, in a silver lining, they did get less votes in favor of it than expected. And it's gonna have a hard time getting past the Senate because it lacks a lot of things the senate really wants, even the fundie demons like NCOSE hate it!
So, find your senators, and tell them you want this bill gone any way you can, whether via phone, email, or even fax if you're some kind of pervert!
The EFF has a good list of reasons you can give to oppose it, but if you don't think they'll buy it, note specific ways those ID protocols would harm you, like be as directly specific to you as possible.
And if you don't think they'd care about that, bring up the lack of duty of care and how it's a big giveaway to big tech, pit them against each other and make them infight it to death.
And even if you're not in the US, you can still boost this, and not just to here but to other sites as well!
The header image is under a CC0 Public Domain License, it's an edit of an old poster I made to fit the moment, feel free to spread it wherever!
The KIDS Act, ostensibly aimed at protecting children, will raise the risk for journalists, dissidents, and whistleblowers.
Contact your representatives, US folx. Yes, even if you're scared. Yes, even if you think it doesn't matter, even if you think they won't listen. Write an email if you can't make a call. Call after hours and leave a message. Call during office hours if you feel up to it, but do something. Call every day. Email every day. Fucking bother your rep. They work for you, not the other way around.
Your single call is not the point. The point is the aggregate of calls and emails. The point is that even "safe" Republicans don't feel really safe right now. The point is that "safe" Democrats are feeling pressure from the left due to the success of DSA candidates. You think they won't listen, and they'll probably try to make you think they're not, but they do, in the aggregate. The midterms have them running scared right now, and now is the time to shut this shit down.
Yes, again. Sorry it's not over. The people who really, really want to criminalize dissent are going to make us keep fighting this one. Sorry about that, but keep fighting.
The KIDS act (which contains KOSA) passed the US house, so I would recommend calling your senators and telling them to vote in opposition. I don't think I need to stress the importance of being able to use the internet freely and without privacy barriers being breached.
There are many scripts online you can follow, many ways to tweak your message to fit your senator (ESPECIALLY if they are up for reelection this year). Whether it's a recording you reach or a real person, be straightforward, don't argue, just let your rep know that you are a constituent and you oppose the KIDS act, etc.
Here is where you can search for your senator... call, email, fax, bring them physical letters, show up in person to their offices if you are able.
KOSA IS MOVING FORWARD IN THE HOUSE (Jun 22, 2026)
It's part of a package called the KIDS Act, filled with digital ID and age verification and censorship.
MAKE THOSE PHONES RING!! CALL YOUR HOUSE REPRESENTATIVES ALL WEEK
202-224-3121
date: 22/6/26
kosa update (RED ALERT):
this is an all hands on deck situation right now. the house seems to have made a bipartisan agreement, and is set to be voted into law as soon as next week. again, there's no exact date, but it's an estimate on when it'll happen.
this will be voted by the house representatives. this is a floor vote. if passed, it'll go to senate.
for the next two weeks, call your house representatives. make them oppose this as soon as possible.
that'll be all for now.
