INHUMAN CONDITION manage to combine the best elements of death and thrash metal in a consistently riff-oriented sound that is both catchy and raw. The music is strongly reminiscent of classic Florida death metal: low-tuned guitars, frantic riffs, and guttural vocals. All of this defines the band's style. Guitarist Taylor Nordberg not only plays flawlessly, but his playing also has a lot of character. In many places, you can hear the influence of Deicide rather than Massacre, which helps the band to emancipate itself to a certain extent. Mind Trap is certainly not a revolutionary album, but it's one that works extremely well. The music feels familiar, pleasantly rough and nostalgic – an album you can listen to over and over again, not because of its innovations, but because of its honest, old-school flair.
