In a police brutality case in Tallahassee, Florida, after viewing the police dash camera videos of the arrest and assault on a DUI suspect, a woman, the State Attorney said, “I am extremely upset,” and “It is very disturbing" in a newspaper interview (Tallahassee Democrat). The newspaper was also able to obtain an e-mail about the incident sent by a City Commissioner who said of the assault recorded by the police car video, it is a "DISTURBING use of force against a completely non aggressive arrestee,"
The woman suffered severe facial injuries, including a broken bone, as a result of the encounter with police officers who accused her of assaulting them.
If your own state attorneys are so shocked and disgusted that they can't keep their mouths shut for fear of liability, then your police officers probably need better management.
That's right, I'm not going to blame police brutality on the individual police officers who commit the assaults when you have six police officers ganging up on a 130 pound woman, and these police officers know they have video cameras in their cars. Yes, they should be charged with a crime, assault. But, their bosses are the ones who need taken down when you have six officers attacking a citizen.
